Figuring Out The Real Face Lift Cost

Generally your surgeon will supply you with a cost sheet for your face-lift, however there are other expenses will not be on the cost sheet that he provides you.  Some examples of these expenses that give you the real cost are listed here.

Aside from the doctors fees you need to consider that you will be out of work for a little while.  If you have some vacation or even sick days that have accumulated then you will still receive an income while out.

On the other hand if you do not have a job that provides these benefits, then the pay that you would normally receive become an additional cost that you need to add to your total face-lift cost.

While most surgeons provide for follow-up visits, there may be some that do not.  Most likely you do not have insurance that will pay for the procedure, therefore it is highly doubtful they will pay for the follow-up visits either.

So if your doctor does not have these visits included, then you will need to add the cost of six or eight additional visits to your total face-lift cost.

It never fails that there is always something that comes up that there was no way of accounting for it before hand.  Such thinks may include a special diet for your recovery time and prescription and over the counter medications.  Generally you should consider adding about 10% to your face-lift cost for these and other unaccounted for items.

Bear in mind that the price for the physical surgery is just one of the parts of your real face-lift costs.  You should make a list of every possible expense that will be caused or affected by having a face-lift and you will be able to arrive at a true estimate of the real cost of having a face-lift which you will have to pay in the end.
